PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monoclonal antibody suitable for the immunological determination of equine SAA, an equine SAA determination kit specifically and sensitively determining the equine SAA of a specimen collected from a horse, and a method for the sensitive and accurate diagnosis of the pathology of equine inflammatory diseases.;SOLUTION: The monoclonal antibody specifically bonding to equine SAA is produced by a hybridoma prepared by using an immunogen comprising an apoprotein separated and purified from the blood of a horse. The equine SAA determination kit is used for the immunological determination of equine SAA and contains the above monoclonal antibody. The method for the diagnosis of equine inflammatory disease comprises the determination of SAA in the blood collected from a house by using the equine SAA determination kit.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
