PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite membrane for separating hydrogen which can make hydrogen selectively permeate and separate from a mixture gas containing hydrogen, and to provide a module for separating hydrogen using the same.;SOLUTION: A flange 5B protruding from an outer edge is formed in such a way that a thin film-like outer edge member 5 using a metal having the affinity for a metal for a hydrogen-permeable membrane 2 is protruded from the outer edge, overlapped and arranged on at least one side of the outer edges of the hydrogen-permeable membrane 2 made of a metal allowing hydrogen selectively permeate from the mixed gas, and that the overlapping parts 5A are connected in a length direction without leakage. Attaching the composite membrane to equipment, members, etc., for example, even in the case of forming the module for separating hydrogen, can substantially performs connection of welding or the like with the above the flange, and reduces the effect by heating of the hydrogen-permeable membrane to suppress the deterioration of the hydrogen permeability.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
