PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of finding easily a fluctuation response function in ocean waves by computation, as to a plurality of floating body models floating adjacently to each other on a water surface.;SOLUTION: An increase or inclination of draft as an initial displacement is generated by an external force in one of the floating body model A out of the plurality of floating body models floating adjacently, the floating body model A is thereafter released instantaneously from the external force, a required divergent wave η(t) generated around the floating body model A is measured therein along a P-point direction, and a function MN(ω) equation (2) indicating a fluctuation response characteristic of floating body model A in the ocean waves is found after finding a function I(ω) equation (1) of a frequency ω by Fourier-transforming the divergent wave η(t), where t represents a time, ω represents the frequency, α represents the initial displacement, ρ represents a density, g represents a gravity, CN represents a restoration force, K represents a wavenumber, and R represents a distance between a wave measured point and the gravity center of the floating body model.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
