PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasoline price information collection system which quickly collects accurate information of gasoline prices at gas stations, a gasoline price information collection method, and a navigation system.;SOLUTION: When a vehicle comes close to a gas station, the gas station is photographed by a camera provided in a navigation system 1. The photographed image of the gas station is subjected to image processing, and a gasoline price is recognized from the display part of the gasoline price. Then location information of the photographed gas station and recognized gasoline price information are transmitted to an information center 2.
