PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element in which a liquid container part and an optical axis deflection surface are integrated.;SOLUTION: An optical element includes a liquid lens wherein a liquid container 22 is filled with a first liquid 32 and an insulating second liquid 33 which does not mix with the first liquid 32, and the shape of a boundary surface 34 between the first liquid 32 and the second liquid 33 can be changed by changing a voltage to be applied to the inside of the liquid container 22. The optical element also includes a deflection member having an optical axis deflection surface. The optical axis deflection surface is disposed on the optical axis of the liquid lens which passes through the boundary surface of the first liquid and the second liquid at least at one side of the incident light and the emitting light.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
