PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and precisely determine presence or absence of abnormalities such as a defect causing a flow channel of the biochemical reaction cartridge to be clogged or a fluid to leak.;SOLUTION: Pump nozzles 17e, 18m are inserted into two nozzle inlets 3e, 3m of the biochemical reaction cartridge 1 and connected to electric syringe pumps 15, 16 through tubes 21, 22, respectively. Then, pressure changes at the time when a flow of air advancing from the nozzle inlet 3e to the nozzle inlet 3m is generated by operating the electric syringe pumps 15, 16, are measured by using pressure sensors 23, 24. Next, respective measurement values of the pressure sensors 23, 24 are compared with pressure change values being caused by the fluid flow in a normal channel and obtained previously, thereby determining the presence or absence of the abnormalities.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
