PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bat for baseball or soft ball which improves a repulsion characteristic and can suppress a worsening of ball hitting feeling due to vibration or impact at the time of hitting a ball. PSOLUTION: The bat 1 for baseball or soft ball includes a ball hitting part 11, a tapered part 12 and a grip part 13, and is provided with an outer peripheral member 3, an inner peripheral member 5 and a non-fastening part 7. The outer peripheral member 3 is a cylindrical member constituting at least the ball hitting part 11. The inner peripheral member 5 is arranged on the inner peripheral side of the outer peripheral member 3. The inner peripheral member 5 keeps the inner peripheral member tip part 23 positioned on the opposite side fixed to the outer peripheral member 3 at the taper part side end which is the end on the taper part 12 side. The non-fastening part 7 is arranged in at least one part of the region where the non-fixed part in the inner peripheral member 5 faces the outer peripheral member 3 to prevent fastening on the non-fixed part which is the part other than the inner peripheral member tip part 23 in the inner peripheral member 5 and includes the tapered part 12 side end and on the outer peripheral member 3.
