The region has a unique sheet (1) whose top is folded by lowering towards the bottom of an upper edge for constituting a flap (5) under which an operator slides his hands for pushing the region under the buttock of a patient. The sheet has a bottom folded into triangular flaps (3, 4) partially covering lateral edges of the sheet by folding the flaps (3, 4) with respect to each other. The flaps (3,4) cooperate with an underlying part of the sheet for constituting a V-shaped pocket opened towards its top.
