The system has an inertial unit (120) providing an angle position of an aircraft relative to an inertial reference. An angle measuring sensor (110) e.g. inclinometer, is mounted integrally on a sensor (100) e.g. synthetic aperture radar (SAR), for providing an angle position of the sensor (100) with respect to the inertial reference. An airborne integrated data system (130) determines an angular deviation of the sensor (100) with respect to the aircraft based on the angle positions of the aircraft and the sensor (100), and calculates difference between the angular and nominal deviations. An independent claim is also included for an imaging system comprising an imaging sensor.
