The device has a recipient (2) filled with fresh water (3), where the recipient is opaque and has a dark color for attracting aedes aegypti mosquitoes. A covering system (4) has a height of 20 centimeters, and covers the entire length and half of the width of the recipient to provide a shelter to the mosquitoes.
