The method involves comparing a parameter associated to a name in a directory with a parameter measuring the occurrence of an event during detection of pertinence e.g. pertinence resulting from a difference between a date of a last outgoing call and a current date. The names associated to the parameter are sorted in the directory according to the detected pertinence. The sorted names in a directory head are displayed on a splash screen by the sorted order. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a telecommunication system comprising a terminal (2) a telecommunication terminal comprising a table (3) a program executable by a processor comprising instructions to perform a method of providing a splash screen.
