The system uses a pulsed air jet generator, e.g. in the form of an electrostatically- or electromagnetically-controlled micro actuator, to emits air jets through slits (D1, D2, D3, D4) having a width and length of between 0.1 and 10 mm. The slits are located in zones (R1, R2, R3, R4) of the vehicle body where turbulence is created by the body shape or joints between different components (2 - 7), and the pulsed air jets have a speed of between 0.05 and 100 m per second and a frequency of between 0 and 600 Hz.
