The method involves inputting, in a central server (10), physical parameters e.g. size, related to a navigation unit (UN) e.g. deep-sea sail boat, and attributing a personal code (CP) for the unit. A user (11) calls a telephone number (NT) of the server using a portable telephone, and the server identifies the unit from the code (CP). The server responds with availability proposals according to the physical parameters related to the unit. The user accepts one of the proposals, and invoicing is executed based on the parameters related to the unit. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing a unit e.g. navigation unit, site managing method.
