The probe has a rod (4) constituted of a movable nozzle (6) arranged at an end (7) of a hollow tube (5) opposite to a handle (8). The nozzle includes displacement units to displace the nozzle between extreme positions. The nozzle includes slots that are distributed to form sectors that are separated from one another. The displacement units displace one of the sectors in a differential direction of the sectors from an axis of the rod while maintaining the portion of the nozzle at an end of the rod such that the rod forms an end of the probe. An independent claim is also included for a method for identifying a material to be implemented with a probe.
