Fiber optic Fabry-Perot interferometric seismic sensor interrogation system for measuring phase difference between optical fields, has sensors distributed in groups, where sensors of same group are disposed like star
The system has a generating unit (1) to generate m group of light pulses, where each group is made of n light pulses of distinct wavelengths and the light pulses are separated temporally. Fiber optic interferometric sensors are distributed in m groups each comprising n sensors. The sensors of the same group are located at same measurement point and are disposed like star among an input point of the group. Each sensor of the same group is associated with a wavelength selecting unit so that the sensor is interrogated by only one light pulse.
