Intra-oral orthosis for jawbone of patient, has lower gutter for covering mandibular arcade, and top semi-gutters for receiving each of two maxillary semi-arcades, which cover molars and canines except incisives
The orthosis has a lower gutter (3) for covering a mandibular arcade, and top semi-gutters (4) for receiving each of two maxillary semi-arcades, which cover molars and canines except incisives. The lower gutter comprises a rib (15) turned towards the top and the front. Each top semi-gutter is connected to the lower gutter by a lateral rod (21). The rod (21) is inclined from the top semi-gutters (4) towards the lower gutter (3). Metallic frames are drowned in a resin to form a body of the gutters (3, 4).
