The device suppresses a part of a hull at a rear part (6) of a sailboat or shortens the hull. A dismountable light structure is disposed inside the rear part of the sailboat. The hull presents a length with a floating line reduced with respect to a hull which does not present any specific shape to the rear part of the sailboat, when the sailing boat sails with reduced list. An independent claim is also included for a ship body.
