PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve controllability by carrying out specific and abnormality diagnosis of a half-clutching stroke value. ;SOLUTION: A difference R₁ between a clutch stroke value P₁ at the time when fluid pressure which is working force of a friction clutch reaches a specified value and a half-clutch stroke value Q₁ at a half-clutch position of the friction clutch is previously found, thereafter, a new half-clutch stroke value Q₂ is made by adding the difference R₁ to a new former's value P₂, and it is judged that the new half-clutch stroke value Q₂ is abnormal at the time when a difference between the new former's value P₂ and the new half-clutch stroke value Q₂ is come off from a specified range.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
