Plant protection device comprises an inflatable double-walled film sleeve (1) which forms a rigid structure having an inner volume fitting the size of the pot plant and a base plate connected to the sleeve via a connecting unit (2a). The base plate is made from a material which protects the plant from the cold. Preferred Features: The connecting unit is a zip fastener or Velcro strip. An electrical connection is provided on the base plate.
