The device for cutting bread rolls, comprises a bread roll reception plate (1), which possesses a circumferentially-running, outer-lying groove for collection of bread crumbs, and a bread roll knife having bilateral cutting edges and a symmetrical handle (2). The reception plate possesses a slot (3), which runs continuously along the margin, has the width of a knife at the same elevation and which is interrupted by two oppositely-facing connecting bars. Different sizes and forms of bread rolls can be brought into the bread roll reception plate and can be cut through. The device for cutting bread rolls, comprises a bread roll reception plate (1), which possesses a circumferentially-running, outer-lying groove for collection of bread crumbs, and a bread roll knife having bilateral cutting edges and a symmetrical handle (2). The reception plate possesses a slot (3), which runs continuously along the margin, has the width of a knife at the same elevation and which is interrupted by two oppositely-facing connecting bars. Different sizes and forms of bread rolls can be brought into the bread roll reception plate and can be cut through. The bread knife pushed into the slot of the bread roll reception plate, possesses a safety component in connection with an installed spring plug that prevents the slipping or falling of the knife.
