Safety belt winder`s mechanical noise reducing device for motor vehicle, has insert consisting of open-cell or semi-closed cell material e.g. foam plastic, and air-gap provided between material and outer side of housing of winder
The device has a cover encompassing sides of a safety belt winder and fastened to a U-shaped housing of the winder in a force-fit or form-fit manner, where the cover is made from a hard sound absorbing material e.g. polyolefin foam. An insert consisting of an open-cell or semi-closed cell material e.g. foam plastic, is inserted into the bottom of the cover. An air-gap is provided between the material and an outer side of the housing of the winder.
