The frame has a roll opening including left and right side parts (3, 4) that are detachably connected by a horizontal brace (5) connecting the side parts. The parts have a retaining device (6) for an unwind shaft (7). The brace connects the side parts in an exertion position approximately on a shoulder level (8). The brace is provided with a knife holder (9) for a vertically staying foil cutter (10). The parts have rigid and pivotable braces (11, 12) that are connected with each other in a hinge-like manner.
