The furniture piece has a base part including a base column lug with an outer diameter which is smaller than an inner diameter of a bottom column. A quick release mechanism is provided such that the base part and the bottom column are fixed together with the quick release mechanism. A head plate has a head column lug with an inner diameter that is greater than an inner diameter of the base column lug, such that another quick release mechanism fixes the head column lug at the base part.
