An acoustic resonator with first and second electrodes (E1,E2), has an intermediately arranged piezoelectric layer (P). Between the first electrode (E1) and the piezoelectric layer (P) is a first acoustic compression layer (V1), which has a higher acoustic impedance than first electrode (E1).
