Low power complementary MOS oscillator for low frequency clocking has reference current to two switches with two inverters and capacitors for alternating charge and discharge
A low power CMOS oscillator for low frequency clocking comprises a reference current (IREF) coupled to two switches (MP01,MP02), two thyristor-based inverters (11,12) and two capacitors (C1,C2). One capacitor connects to a reference potential and to the first inverter output and second inverter input and the other capacitor has a reciprocal connection arrangement . The capacitor pairs are alternately charged by the reference current and discharge through the inverters.
