The method involves controlling a temperature of a screen roller (8) at different temperatures, and controlling a temperature of an applicator roller (7) at a constant temperature. The temperature of the screen roller is controlled at temperatures which are different from print job to print job. The temperature of the applicator roller is controlled at a temperature that remains constant from print job to print job, where the temperature of the screen roller and the applicator roller are controlled with temperature control medium circuits. An independent claim is also included for a press comprising an applicator roller and a screen roller.
