Digital receiver circuit operating method for wireless local area network, involves shifting receiver circuit into inactive state if signal energy quotients lie below threshold value, and shifting receiver circuit into active state
The method involves shifting a digital receiver circuit into an active state by an operating condition control device (11) at regular time intervals. Signal energy of a receiver signal e.g. amplitude shift keying-coded receiver signal (1), is detected and evaluated in an active state of the receiver circuit by a signal energy evaluating device. The receiver circuit is shifted into an inactive state if signal energy quotients lie below a selected threshold value. The active state of the receiver circuit is maintained if the quotients lie above the threshold value, by the control device. An independent claim is also included for a digital receiver circuit provided for receiving a digital modulated receiver signals.
