The manipulator has a manipulation unit arranged below an adjustment unit (3), where the manipulation unit has a rotary table (6), whose axis of rotation is aligned perpendicular to a workpiece support (2). A drive unit (7) is connected with the adjustment unit, the manipulation unit and a computer (14), on which a program for an automatic image analysis runs. The computer is connected with an imaging system (11) and a control unit (15) that is provided for controlling the drive unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for the automatic positioning of a test part.
