Motor vehicle steering system controlling method, involves fixing steering system to steering test stand, and transmitting mechanical force to center of steering system by actuator such as piston cylinder unit
The method involves detecting mechanical force by a force time curve with a continuous frequency spectrum, where the force arises when driving through a predetermined running profile. A steering system or a steering unit system is fixed to a steering test stand such that dynamic effects of the overall system are enabled. The mechanical force is transmitted to a center of the steering system by an actuator such as piston cylinder unit. Another mechanical force is transmitted to the center of the steering system by the actuator. Noises arising at the steering system are acoustically detected. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a program code for a data processing device with control instructions for performing a motor vehicle steering system controlling method (2) a storage medium with a program code for performing a motor vehicle steering system controlling method.
