Combined lathe has XY bearing plane parallel to X, Y axes for supporting tool, axis of motion offset in Y axis direction relative to XZ bearing plane, axis of motion in third spindle X axis direction fixed in Z axis separate from XY plane
The machine (1) has a bed, coaxial first and second spindle stems (3) arranged on the bed, a tool support, a third spindle, an XY bearing plane parallel to the X and Y exes for supporting the tool whereby one axis of motion is offset in the direction of the Y axis relative to the XZ bearing plane and one axis of motion in the X axis direction of the third spindle (6) is fixed in the Z axis separately from the XY bearing plane.
