Graft copolymer, obtained by grafting a monomer of N-vinylamide of carbonic acid or nitrogen-containing heterocyclic, olefinically unsaturated sulfonic acid and amide of an olefinically unsaturated carbonic acid, which is not N-vinylamide; and optionally a monomer of at least an olefinically unsaturated phosphonic acid, olefinically unsaturated carbonic acid and/or copolymerizable monomer (0-20 wt.%, based on the quantity of the used monomer) on polyalkylene glycol or polyalkylene glycol unit containing polyester, is new.
