The surgical retractor (1) comprises a handle part with two flexible retractor arms (11,12), positioned at distal ends of the handle part. The flexible retractor arms are connected with each other to the distal ends, which are turned away from the handle part by forming a swivel joint. A moving operating bar is positioned longitudinally in the handle part. A lamella has a diminishing width from an inner lamella to an outer lamella, so that a width of a spring packet, decreases from an inner side to an outer side of the retractor arm.
