The device (1) has a winding device (6) rolling a rolled material web (5), and a slitting device cutting the material web in its longitudinal direction in partial material webs (2, 3, 4). The slitting device has a contour cutting device (14) that produces uneven form contours along formed cutting edges of the partial material webs during slitting. The device (14) has an edge cutting device that produces other uneven form contours along outer edges of the material web (5). An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing two partial material webs from a material web that is laterally limited by outer edges.
