The method, involves computation of the braking distance (STN), which is based on the evaluation of equation of motion, which depends on the acceptance of a time-dependent hypothetical acceleration profile. The acceleration profile approximately represents the temporal acceleration process (a(t)) of the vehicle, which is expected, if a full brake application has been introduced at this time (T0). An independent claim is also included for the warning device.
