Mirror optics has mirror support which uses ceramic (3) as base material and over which a layer of glass (1) is provided through a connecting layer (2). The connection can take place via a bonding with the help of special adhesive, galvanic connection, fusion or other conceivable other forms. Ceramic materials considered for connection are e.g. silicon-infiltrated silicon carbide, silicon nitride, silicon carbide, alumina and boron carbide. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) Mangin mirror (2) ; Mirror optics for photography; and (3) Ceramic and glass construction.
