The method involves pre-assessing the work load (WL) of a vehicle driver by a traffic situation in a road section to be driven. The output of a driver related information (I) is provided only at a time point, at which the pre-assessed driver work load lies under a preset work load threshold valve (WLZ). The time period is determined, at which the pre-assessed driver work load lies under the preset work load threshold. The information to be output is provided such that it is completely output within the certain time period.
