The device has an air conditioning unit (1) with a flow channel (2`) for a heat transfer medium, where the flow channel has outer sides that heat conductively lie against a rear side of room surfaces. The air conditioning unit is a hollow body, where a hollow space (2) of the hollow body is divided into two flow channel sections by guiding plates. The guiding plates run parallel to each other and extend over a total height of the hollow space. The unit (1) is fastened to a wall by an insulating part made of high rigidity material.
