Box-shaped package e.g. cigarette package, heat treatment method for use in packaging machine, involves subjecting box-shaped packages with heat in area of upwardly or downwardly directed front side or rear side of packages
The method involves subjecting box-shaped packages (10) with heat on two opposite sides of the packages such as in an area of upwardly or downwardly directed front side or a rear side of the packages. The heat transferred on the packages is controlled within a shrinkage unit (20) at several shrinking positions of the packages in such a manner that a relatively higher temperature and a relatively lower temperature are transferred in an area of one of the shrinking positions. An independent claim is also included for a device for heat treatment of a box-shaped package e.g. cigarette package.
