The device (100) has an event controlled counter, where a counter reading is temporally stored with each zero-point of a line signal, and the counter is newly started. A data bit is outputted based on the temporally stored counter reading. A program execution of a microcontroller is interrupted by an interrupt request for handling the counter. A clock-pulse generator (120) and a memory (150) are attached to the microcontroller. A data sink (130) is formed for receiving data bit streams.
