The pump has a rotor set sealed in a front side by a front side limiting unit (23) and forming working chambers, where the rotor is supported in a housing (2). The unit (23) is designed as front plate and provided with kidney-shaped slots for controlling inflow and outflow to/from the chamber. Another limiting unit (24) is designed as a bearing cover with an even surface (25) that is turned towards the rotor set. Each of the units (23, 24) has channels for accommodation of rear vane areas. An independent claim is also included for a sliding vane pump for servo steering of a motor vehicle.
