The method involves producing an object with a support layer (10), where the object is designed as a sticker (1`), and applying single or multi-colored prints and/or labels on the support layer. A background coating (13) is directly or indirectly applied on the support layer as a fluid coating containing magnetizable particles, where the background layer lies under the print and/or labels. The magnetic field is generated by a matrix of several permanent and/or electromagnets that are switchable or adjustable either individually or in a group, where the magnets are arranged in a grid pattern. An independent claim is also included for a sticker with a support layer.
