The method involves evaluating detected sensor signals (1) with two evaluation algorithms (Algo1, Algo2) that are different from each other and providing two evaluation units (muC1, muC2) independent of each other. The evaluation units execute the different evaluation algorithms one after another, where evaluation results of the evaluation units and the evaluating algorithms are compared with each other.
