Composite structure of fiber-reinforced thermoplastics, e.g. slat with reinforcing rib, comprises first component welded to second component with endless fiber-reinforced and staple fiber-reinforced parts
In a composite structure comprising first component(s) (10) bonded to second component(s) (14), all components being of bonded fiber composite with a thermoplastic matrix, the second component has a supporting region (20) of endless fiber-reinforced material and a flange region (30) of staple fiber-reinforced material, via which the second component is bonded to the first. An independent claim is included for a method for producing a bond between first and second components as above, by welding the flange region of the second component to the first component.
