Positioning device e.g. for determining dimensions of tool arranged at machine tool, has tool arranged at machine tool, photo-sensitive measuring sensor and source of light with light source directed toward measuring sensor
The device has a tool (5), arranged at a machine tool, and a photo-sensitive measuring sensor and a source of light. The light source is directed toward the measuring sensor. The measuring sensor has a pixel sensor with several or a multiplicity of photo-sensitive pixels (7, 7a, 7b). The source of light is trained to direct an optical pattern approximately parallel light in a direction perpendicularly to the level of the optical pattern regarded toward the pixel sensor. An independent claim is included for a method.
