Control residual life-span information obtaining method for e.g. commercial vehicle, involves evaluating actual on-board voltage, and comparing actual on-board voltage with averaged on-board voltage for receiving difference value
The method involves evaluating an actual on-board voltage during the operation of a vehicle, and comparing the actual on-board voltage with an averaged on-board voltage for receiving a difference value. The difference value is classified in one of risk classes. A ratio value is determined through the division of meter data by another meter data, and the ratio value is compared with a predetermined threshold value. A warning notice is stored in an error memory (3), when the ratio value exceeds the threshold value. An independent claim is also included for a device for obtaining information about a residual life-span of a control device of a vehicle.
