The device has a piston guidance, which consists of a hollow space, in which a setting piston (20) is axial movably arranged. The setting piston has a piston head and a piston shaft. A piston stop device (30) is provided for a setting piston, which is attached at an end area facing a bolt guidance. The piston stop device has stop units for the setting piston. The stop units have two rings that are coaxial to each other and movable against each other. A receiving space is arranged between the rings and filled with particles, where the receiving space is sealed with respect to the particles.
