An eco-friendly method for purifying water is provided to purify the polluted water when the water door is opened, by discharging the lower water of a water storage space through a space between a water door and a housing so as to discharge sludge, which is deposited on a bottom plate of the housing, with the lower water. A water door(30) is installed asymmetrically such that a water supply side is longer than a water storage side based on a rotary shaft(33). A packing member(40) is fixed to an outside of the water supply side of the water door. The water door is rotated at an angle of 90-360 degrees by driving two operative cylinders(51,61) so that the water door is opened or closed. When the water door is opened, a water door plate(31) and a bottom plate of a housing(20) become horizontal in order to discharge water smoothly. When the door is closed, a space between the water door and the housing is sealed by the packing member. A water storage space is significantly secured by a volume corresponding to the sum total of a length of the water supply side asymmetrically extended based on the rotary shaft, a height of the water supply side rounded downwardly from the bottom plate of the housing, and a thickness of the packing member between the water door and the bottom plate of the housing.
