An inflow removal type silt protector and a method of removing river sediment are provided to make silt shielding and guiding net nets filter silt contained in water and to make a filtering net collect silt effectively. An inflow removal type silt protector comprises a float(100), a silt shielding and guiding net(200), a filtering net(300), a bar weight(410), a bar weight connection anchor rope(400), an anchor(500), upper and lower fixing ropes(120,510), and a plurality of silt-containing water inlets(210). The floats are connected with one another by rope. The silt shielding and guiding net is fixed under the float and made of anti- water permeable material. The filtering net is made of water permeable material and formed on the guide net. The weights are connected with the lower end of the guide net by the rope. The weight connection anchor rope is connected with a rope(110) at two sides of the float. The anchor is installed to the lower end of the weight connection anchor rope. The upper and lower fixing ropes tie the guide net to a fixed material. The guide net is formed like a trapezoid. The silt-containing water inlets are formed longitudinally at a regular interval. A connection socket(220) is fixed integrally to the silt-containing water inlet.
