A plastic sheet member for covering soil plate of saltpan and a construction method for covering soil plate of saltpan are provided, in which the plastic sheet member is safe for human body, has specific gravity of 1.18 to 1.59 to endure buoyancy of the salty water, prevents itself from being torn, cutting or overturn, absorbs solar energy adequately and blocks chill from the soil plate to promote evaporation of the sea water for maximizing the production of salts. A plastic sheet member for covering soil plate of saltpan comprises: 60 to 85% by weight of polyethylene(PE) or ethylene vinyl acetate(EVA) and 15 to 40% by weight of filler. The ratio of ethylene vinyl acetate and vinyl acetate in the sheet member is 1:4 to 99. The structure of the sheet member consists of a main body(2) in the form of strip having upper plate(3) and lower plate(4), and thin blade part(6) connected as a single body outside the main body in either side via prominent platform(5) from the upper plate, from the lower plate or from both the upper and lower plates. The construction method for covering the soil plate of saltpan comprises the following steps: (A) providing the first and second sheet member(11,12) in the form of strip; (B) placing the first and the second sheet member(11,12) by turns on the soil plate of the readjusted and dried saltpan; and (C) connecting the respective thin blade part(6,6) of one side from the first and the second sheet members(11,12) as a reciprocally laminated state via junction(9) by heat-welding, high frequency welding or adhering. Another construction method comprises the following steps: (A) providing plastic sheet members(11,12) consisting of main body(2) and thin blade part(6) connected as a single body outside of the main body via respective prominent platform(5,5) from one side of the upper plate(3) of the main body and from other side of the lower plate(4) of the main body in opposite direction each other; (B) placing the members on the soil plate of the readjusted and dried saltpan such that the thin blade part(6) of the plastic sheet member(11) and the other thin blade part(6) of the plastic sheet member(12) are maintained to be laminated reciprocally; and (C) connecting the respective thin blade parts(6,6) as a reciprocally laminated state via junction(9) by heat-welding, high frequency welding or adhering.
