An auger for an underground pile of a civil engineering structure is provided to simplify a pile construction work by performing an excavation work and a piling work simultaneously and to cut down on soil disposal costs by reducing the quantity of soil discharged at an excavation work. The auger for an underground pile of a civil engineering structure comprises a column connected to heavy equipment such as a crane, etc. to be regulable by a hydraulic cylinder, an excavation motor fixed to the column to be reciprocable vertically, an excavation casing(30) coupled to the excavation motor to be rotated by the excavation motor to drill excavation holes, connected to the column to be reciprocable vertically and provided with a spiral soil discharge belt(31), an excavation cam(40) composed of a body fixed to the bottom of the excavation casing and many bits(42) projected or retreated against the body to excavate the ground according to the forward or backward rotation of the body, and a pile holder fixed to the column to be reciprocable vertically to fix a steel tube pile(2) to be buried under the ground.
